Prophet Shashi Peter

Greetings to all readers in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

My name is Shashi Peter (Kanth), and I was born on July 27, 1979, in the Old City, Hyderabad. My parents, Shankar Raj and Umika Bai, were Hindus of the Mahendrakar dynasty. I have two brothers and one sister.

Coming to Know Christ

In 1984, due to communal violence between Hindus and Muslims, we relocated to Jaygeer Gutta in New City, Hyderabad. There was a church in our new neighborhood. During the Christmas season, we noticed stars being placed on houses. Inspired by this, my elder brother, Rupesh Kumar, arranged for us to put up a star as well. Seeing this, our father also bought a star for our home. A local pastor visited us and invited us to a community gathering. This was my first time attending a church service, where I witnessed miracles, healings, and the power of God as demons fled.

Personal Healing Experience

In 1987, I was hospitalized with severe Suleria fever. While in the hospital, I had a vision: I saw two hands holding me, with wounds on their palms. A voice told me that I would serve God when I grew up. I shared this vision with my mother, who explained that these were the hands of the Lord Jesus. Through the prayers of my parents and the church community, I was miraculously healed. Glory be to Jesus for restoring my health.

Education and Financial Struggles

Soon after coming to know Christ, our family faced a famine-like situation. My father, a tailor, struggled to find work. During this time, we mysteriously received a monthly money order of Rs. 200, though we never knew the sender. From this amount, we paid tithes and managed our expenses until the next month. The money orders stopped when my father found employment. Due to our financial difficulties, my elder brother and I sold cans on buses to pay our school fees and support our family. Despite these challenges, I completed my Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (D.M.L.T.) and secured a job as a lab technician in a hospital. I thank God for His grace, which enabled me to study despite financial hardship.

Growing in Faith Through Work

Every Sunday after evening worship, I joined other young people from our church to visit the sick and share the gospel. However, my supervisor at the hospital was displeased with my absence from work on Sundays. While my colleagues received the Best Employee Award, I was overlooked. I prayed for God’s favor, and soon after, my supervisor informed me that the hospital director wanted to see me. Fearing dismissal, I was surprised when the director handed me tickets to Delhi, where I received the Best Technician Award from then-President Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. I was also invited to stay at the Rashtrapati Bhavan for fifteen days, dining with silver and gold utensils. God blessed me beyond my expectations, and I later learned that I had been honored not only at our hospital but also by Air India. Praise be to God for His abundant grace.

Falling into Worldly Temptations

As God blessed me, I began to drift into worldly temptations. I strayed from my faith, indulging in sinful behavior. Feeling isolated and convicted, I decided to leave Hyderabad. I arrived at Secunderabad railway station, intending to board any train to escape. I ended up in Chennai, where God began to restore me from my sorrows.

Chennai Testimony

In Chennai, I was alone, unable to speak the local language. I spent a day at the train station until a colleague from Hyderabad called and connected me with someone who provided a small worship room. Though the room was filled with idols and incense, I prayed for God’s guidance. Soon after, my friend Paul Ramanrao, a Christian from a Brahmin family, mentored me. He taught me about prayer, fasting, seeking God’s will, and giving tithes. Through his example, I learned to use my earnings to serve God. I also joined Jeevan Calls Prayer War as a prayer warrior, where I grew in understanding the mysteries and fellowship of the Holy Spirit. I thank God for teaching me through spiritual friends.

Suicide Attempt and Deliverance

At one point, I went five days without food and decided to end my life by jumping off a train. As I prepared to jump, I saw a golden messenger holding a sword, reminding me of God’s promise to protect me. A fellow believer later spoke to me about God’s care, and my roommate, Patti Shashi, unknowingly provided chicken biryani when I was starving. Though I initially resisted eating non-vegetarian food, I realized God had provided it to meet my needs. Later, I suffered from severe coughing and coughed up blood. After praying, I saw a vision of two fingers forming a cross on my chest, and I was healed. I thank God for sending His angel to save me from death.

Heavenly Vision

In December 2005, while praying at 3 a.m., I was taken in a vision to heaven. I saw the Lord Jesus and the Old Testament prophets discussing something. A man, whom I later understood to be related to the prophet Isaiah, guided me. I witnessed great glory, with angels praising God. A voice asked me what I wanted, and after some hesitation, I asked to hear God’s word. I found myself back in my room, overwhelmed by the experience, and was bedridden with a fever for three days. I knew I had been in the presence of God.

Vision of Hell

On April 3, 2006, at 3 a.m., I prayed, confessing my unworthiness to serve God. In a vision, a man in divine garments led me to a place where I saw corpses and people being shot, crying out that they were not dead. I was then shown hell, where people suffered torment for not giving tithes or misusing God’s resources. Pastors were also there, having failed to live according to their teachings. The vision left me shaken, with a burning smell lingering around me, confirming its reality.

Complete Submission

That same day, I prayed and sought God’s mercy. In a vision, Jesus appeared and asked if I knew His people. He explained that His people are not just my relatives or friends but those whose suffering breaks His heart. Jesus said He gave His life for them and called me to proclaim Him. When I expressed concern about financial struggles, He assured me that He would take responsibility for those I reached with the gospel. From that moment, I fully surrendered to God’s call.

Return to Hyderabad

In 2006, God directed me to return to Hyderabad through repeated confirmations. Back home, I served briefly under a pastor but was soon called to start my own ministry. In 2008, I married Praskilla, and we began serving together.

Ministry Beginnings

Our ministry started small, with a few believers gathering in our home. Despite financial challenges, God promised to prosper our work in His time. In a dream, God showed me Warangal as the place for our ministry. This was confirmed by a prophecy during a Thanksgiving service. In 2010, my wife and I welcomed our son, Emanuel, born under God’s miraculous provision during a difficult delivery.

Move to Warangal

In June 2010, we moved to Warangal. Finding a home was challenging, as many refused to rent to Christians. God led us to a house where the owner accepted us, saying, “Your God and our God are the same.” We began our church on our son’s birthday, May 29, with a small group. Over time, we expanded to larger spaces despite opposition from neighbors. God guided us to a new location in Zion Puram, near a school and hills, as He had shown in a vision. In 2013, God blessed us with another son.

Building the Church

In August 2014, we built a small hut in Chintagattu Camp Canal Road for worship. Inspired by God, we began constructing a temple without taking loans, trusting in His provision. By God’s grace and the prayers of many, our ministry has grown steadily. God also enabled me to write the book Prayer of Release (100 Days with God), through which many have been blessed and delivered.

Conclusion

I thank God for His guidance and provision. Through His grace, our ministry continues to grow, and I am grateful for the opportunity to serve Him.
